Sony Michel 2019 Fantasy Outlook

#19 RB Sony Michel 2019 Fantasy Outlook

Sony Michel (Patriots)

5'11, 215 lbs

There is a lot to like with Sony Michel but there is also a fair share of risk in the form of Bill Belichick. Michel had a heck of a year as he ran for 931 yards and 6 Td's in only 13 games. He didn't do much in the passing game, but has nice hands and could contribute there if needed.

Michel dominated in the postseason. In only 3 games, he had 336 rushing yards and a league winning 6TD's. The Patriots invested a first-round pick in him, which makes me think his role is pretty safe.

Michel had off-season knee surgery and the Patriots drafted Damien Harris in the 3rd round of the draft so there is a need for concern, and again don't forget about Belichick. Whoever ends up getting the carries will face a light box and should be in the red zone regularly. If you draft Michel, handcuff Harris for sure.
