Sammy Watkins 2019 Fantasy Outlook

#22 WR Sammy Watkins 2019 Fantasy Outlook

Sammy Watkins (Chiefs)

6'1, 211 lbs

Watkins is a huge roll of the dice, one of the biggest in fantasy, due to his injury history. Watkins has burned countless Fantasy owners as he's been a breakout candidate just about every season. And every season he has let owners down. This is what colors the Sammy Watkins 2019 Fantasy Outlook.

Watkins has only played all 16 once in his career, and that was when he was a rookie, and he is now in his 6th season. Still, his talent level is through the roof. He's big, he's strong, runs good routes and has good hands. The biggest thing Watkins has going for his outlook this season is a possible suspension of one Tyreek Hill.

Watkins is also playing with one of the best QBs in the game who is coming off a monster year. When healthy last season, Watkins was efficient and putting up pretty good numbers while sharing with Hill. He caught 40 of 55 targets from the Chiefs Mahomes and once again, there is talk of a breakout.

Keep an eye on the Tyreek Hill suspension, because Watkins ranking of WR #22 is solely based on Hill missing all of 2019, and even that's a gamble. If Hill only gets 6 or 8 games adjust accordingly.
