Christian McCaffrey 2019 Fantasy Outlook

#4 RB Christian McCaffrey 2019 Fantasy Outlook

Christian McCaffrey (Panthers)

5'11, 205 lbs

McCaffrey is an elite player and is entering his 3rd year in the NFL. He's coming off a massive workload, where he played 93 percent of the teams offensive snaps and that is the key item for the Christian McCaffrey 2019 Fantasy Outlook. He put up 1,098 rushing yards at a healthy 5.0 yards-per-carry with 7 TDs, while also killing it in the passing game with 107 receptions for 867 yards and 6 TDs.

The only knock on McCaffrey is there is talk of scaling down his touches. Even though he's shown his guns this offseason and looks shredded, he is smallish at only 205. Panthers quarterback Cam Newton also had shoulder surgery and the offense could suffer as a whole.

McCaffrey will still get his touches and will produce big numbers. He is one of if not the best 3rd down back in the league and separates himself from other running backs in the passing game. While he may never be a 1,500-yard rusher, he makes up for it with his receiving chops.

McCaffrey is a really safe pick no matter the scoring format, and you could make a case for him to be a notch higher in PPR formats. He's a lock to go in the first round and all he needs to do is stay healthy.
